Blockchain technology firm Algorand on Wednesday has appointed its Chief Operating Officer Sean Ford as interim CEO.Ford is succeeding Steven Kokinos, who is leaving the company after four years "to pursue other interests," and will remain as a senior advisor until mid-2023, Algorand said.During his role as COO at the blockchain network, Ford, who also joined Algorand in 2018, was responsible for operations such as product management, engineering, marketing and global community development.Prior to that, Ford served as chief marketing officer at software company LogMeln (LOGM).Algorand's crypto ALGO (ALGO-USD) +1.4%, meanwhile, is up slightly to $0.31 over the past 24 hours, but down 87% from its all-time high of $2.38 in September.In the beginning of May, Algorand partnered with FIFA World Cup.
